From Berlin to Broadway to Rock ‘n’ Roll Chaos – Billie Trix Is Back

She’s loud, she’s legendary, and she’s unapologetically unfiltered. Billie Trix, the cult character first unleashed in the West End musical Closer to Heaven, returns in Musik — a ferociously funny, fast-paced one-woman show performed by the unstoppable Frances Barber. Running for a strictly limited time at London’s historic Wilton’s Music Hall, this is theatre at its rawest and most rebellious — a cult classic in the making.

Don’t just hear the legend — live it. Book official tickets now and immerse yourself in the wild ride of one woman’s life on the cultural fault lines of the 20th century.

About the Show – A Life of Sex, Fame, and Self-Destruction

Musik follows Billie Trix — iconic rock star, screen siren, Factory muse, drug addict, and accidental witness to cultural history. From post-war Berlin to Vietnam, from Andy Warhol’s New York to a phone box in Soho Square, Billie’s journey is equal parts outrageous, tragic, and electrifying.

Written by Jonathan Harvey (Beautiful Thing, Coronation Street) and featuring six original songs by the Pet Shop Boys, the show dives deep into Billie’s stream-of-consciousness memoir, filled with dark comedy, biting satire, and jaw-dropping revelations. Frances Barber returns to the role she originated with blistering intensity and surreal brilliance.

  • Original songs by the Pet Shop Boys add electro-glam punch to the emotional mayhem.
  • Jonathan Harvey’s script is razor-sharp, irreverent, and rooted in pop culture satire and theatrical truth.
  • Wilton’s Music Hall — London’s oldest surviving music hall — offers the perfect setting for this raw, cabaret-style confession.

Billie Trix. Icon. Rock star. Screen goddess. Drug addict. Billie has lived a life of excess and shares it all in her new one-woman show. Her journey takes us from post-war Berlin to the rock arenas of the world, via the Vietnam war, Andy Warhol’s Factory, and 10 years in a Soho Square phone box. A stunning performance by Frances Barber as Billie Trix, returning to the unforgettable larger-than-life character she first created in the 2001 West End musical Closer to Heaven, with an outrageous script by Jonathan Harvey (Beautiful Thing, Coronation Street) and six original songs by Pet Shop Boys.
