The Animals Come to the Table – Globe

The Animals Come to the Table is poised to make its world premiere at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, London, from 11 December 2026 until 24 January 2027. Written by acclaimed playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker, this bold new play invites audiences into a candlelit setting where the boundaries between humanity and nature blur. As the lights dim, a negotiator and an interpreter gather for a secret emergency meeting, confronted by an array of voices from the natural world, including a chicken, a rat, and a snow leopard, all demanding an end to exploitation and ecological destruction. While the running time is still to be confirmed, the compelling narrative promises to engage and provoke thought in equal measure. Book your tickets to see The Animals Come to the Table at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse and immerse yourself in this timely exploration of our relationship with nature.
